        The celebration of Emirati wemen day has been announced for the first time on 15th August 2015 by Her Higness. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. The date marking the anniversary of the creation of the UAE’s General Women’s Union in 1975.​
