Strong boost toward the future


Based on the wise vision of the UAE that has been established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the sound directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may Allah protect him), and the dynamism of dynamic by His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai (may Allah protect him), the Federal Customs Authority (FCA) in the UAE has made it a strategic objective to establish of a balance between society, security, and trade facilitation, and to enhance cooperation with other countries across the world.

Customs work has recently served the backbone of security and trade facilitation. This achievement adds value to the national economy and stability.

On this basis, FCA works to promote customs work based on best international standards for society, security, and trade facilitation. FCA always aims to achieve this through developing customs policies and legislation, supervising their application, and having effective participation overseas to enhance and to boost trade, and combat fraud and smuggling.

Over the past few years, FCA has succeeded, with qualified employees, to establish an efficient and a high quality federal customs system federal customs systems. It has also left a clear and effective impact on the course of the GCC Customs union and the work of Arab and international customs, through its participation in various committees on customs affairs.

However, the future remains tied with more challenges at economic and security levels. Hence FCA is aiming to make UAE Customs one of the best customs departments in the world.

His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum is recent  initiative reinforces. Federal and government procedures by announcing the shift from E-Government to the Smart Government in 2014. With this FCA launched its internet website in its new form with the purpose of achieving greater connectivity between FCA and the local and international entities, hoping to contribute to achieve the desired objectives of the UAE’s vision and customs.
